Cyber Wardens quietly coming to an end this week
COSBOA will cease operating the small business cyber security program from Friday, after the federal government decided not to extend funding.
Cyber Wardens, the small business cyber security education program backed by $23.4 million in government funding, will formally close on Friday.
A notice posted on the Cyber Wardens website says the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA) will cease delivering the program by close of business on September 11, 2026.
It calls on users to complete their training, download their certificates, or save copies of the provided resources.
“Thank you for being part of the Cyber Wardens community and for taking steps to make your business more cyber secure,” the notice said.
